Railway Products Supplying to the Rail Industry has become a major part of the Passcomm business over the last few years, with a contract in place to supply telecoms outside plant for both the copper and optical fibre Network Rail FTN/GSMr project. The products supplied are diverse and include copper connection items, optical fibre jointing hardware and exchange/REB equipment such as MDFs and DDFs . Passcomm recently achieved Network Rail product approval for its range of trackside telecom cabinets , which can also be supplied pre-wired. As a complement to the cabinets, Passcomm completely re-designed the anti-vandal telephone box to include many additional features, which greatly reduces installation time. A full range of lineside telephones and accessories is also available. The rigours of working trackside in an electrical hostile environment means that cables need to be protected. To this end Passcomm supplies items to "gap" telecoms cable armouring , and to joint the aluminium screened conductor. Passcomm also supplies a range of tools, test equipment and label and marking products .
