Standalone OC-48/STM-16 to OC-192/STM-64 Muxponder/Waveshifter
Combine multiple 2.5Gb/s pluggable client side interfaces (SFP), onto a single 10Gb/s line side channel with an uncompensated reach up to 200km (3600ps/nm). The optional line side tunable laser provides full C-band coverage. The unit fully meets relevant SONET/SDH standards with non-intrusive overhead monitoring, optional G.709 FEC support and APS redundancy. Ideally suited to concatonated payloads, the unit is 1U high and is designed to be mounted in a 19" rack, driven from a -48V DC power supply. Remote provisioning is via an EMS/SNMP interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.

The AM2548 allows client rates and protocols to be mixed and matched in a single unit. The AM2558 supports hairpinning on all ports, 3R regeneration and features time slot interchange capability. The AM2560 provides SONET overhead error monitoring and reporting, complies with all SONET timing and jitter specifications and provides 3R regeneration. System
management for all modules is via the AM2502 controller card, remote
provisioning is via an EMS/SNMP/Telnet interface with local management
via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.
