Standalone OC-48/STM-16 to OC-192/STM-64 Muxponder/Waveshifter

A1040.jpg

Combine multiple 2.5Gb/s pluggable client side interfaces (SFP), onto a single 10Gb/s line side channel with an uncompensated reach up to 200km (3600ps/nm). The optional line side tunable laser provides full C-band coverage.

The unit fully meets relevant SONET/SDH standards with non-intrusive overhead monitoring, optional G.709 FEC support and APS redundancy. Ideally suited to concatonated payloads, the unit is 1U high and is designed to be mounted in a 19" rack, driven from a -48V DC power supply.

Remote provisioning is via an EMS/SNMP interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.

In terms of environmental operating conditions, all devices are fully compliant to Bellcore NEBS (GR63), TR-NWT-0000-63 and ETSI ETS 300-19-1. In addition, EMI/EMC performance complies with FCC part 15 Class A, UL950, CE GR-1089 and ETSI EN50082-1

Chassis based Multiplexer/Waveshifter modules

 AM2548.jpg

A full range of modules for use in the A2050 and A2500 chassis. Combine multiple pluggable client side interfaces (SFP), onto a single high speed line side channel. Pluggable line side (SFP or XFP) interfaces are available with a full range of reaches up to 80km.

All units are protocol independent, fully compliant to the relevant Ethernet, Fibre Channel, SDH or SONET standards.

The AM2540 supports VLAN and VWAN (Q-in-Q) tagging, provides non-blocking wire speed performance and jumbo frame support. Full duplex flow control with per port rate limiting in 1Mb increments combine with RMON and SNMP perfromance monitoring.

The AM2548 allows client rates and protocols to be mixed and matched in a single unit.

The AM2558 supports hairpinning on all ports, 3R regeneration and features time slot interchange capability.

The AM2560 provides SONET overhead error monitoring and reporting, complies with all SONET timing and jitter specifications and provides 3R regeneration.

System management for all modules is via the AM2502 controller card, remote provisioning is via an EMS/SNMP/Telnet interface with local management via the craft port, which is an RS-232 asynchronous interface.
