GBIC Transceivers

A full range of transceivers of GBIC fibre optic transceivers for 1Gb/s Ethernet applications. Incorpotating an SC duplex interface, these transceivers are designed to operate on all types of multimode and singlemode fibre in accordance with ISO11801.

Bi-Directional (BiDi) versions are also available which allow single fibre operation, effectively doubling the network capacity.

To ensure full operation with the relevant transmission equipment, please specify the OEM code (-O in the part no.)  

 

CWDM versions are available which enable up to 18 wavelengths to be transmitted on the same fibre. The actual wavelength can be identified via the colour coding of the transceiver. (Please enter the channel no. -Cxx as in Table 1 below). Bi-directional devices are specified using wavelength code ab as shown in Table 3


SFP (mini GBIC) Transceivers

A full range of SFP 1000Base fibre optic transceivers for 1Gb/s Ethernet applications. Incorporating an LC duplex interface, this range of transceivers is designed to operate on all types of multimode and singlemode fibre in accordance with ISO11801. For DWDM tunable and 200km options, please see our Regenerator/Waveshifter solutions in the Transmission Equipment section.
